Atlassian Plunges After Hours on Tepid Fiscal Q4 Forecast

Shares of enterprise software developer Atlassian $Atlassian (TEAM.US)$ dropped more than 15% in after-hours trading Thursday on poorly received forward guidance.

TEAM sank 16.6% to $191 shortly before 5:30 p.m. ET after the firm forecast fiscal Q4 revenue below estimates.

The company said enterprise customers have cut spending on cloud software services in a tough economy.

TEAM now expects revenue in the range of $1.35 billion to $1.36 billion for its Q4 vs. analysts' previous estimates of $1.36 billion.

That overshadowed the fact that Atlassian's fiscal Q3 revenue for three months ended March 31 came in at $1.36 billion vs. estimates of $1.35 billion.

The company also posted a fiscal Q3 net loss of 27 cents per share compared with a profit of 5 cents per share a year ago.
