10baggerbamm OP 151375317 : thanks for posting it I am familiar with it. law firm Sue because that's how they make money and in any company you're going to have a group of investors that are pissed off because they lose money and they will find a law firm that will buy into their complaint. it's easier for companies to settle a lawsuit and pay a few million dollars then it is to fight it. the cost of fighting can extend out years and will greatly exceed the settlement. weather Robinhood violated disclosures I don't know too many people that read every email that is sent regarding policies of the companies you invest in or if you're investing or the company that's acting as the clearing House for your trades when they update their policies and procedures and compliance I'll be honest I don't read it I get 20 to 30 of these updates sent to my email box every week and it just gets deleted. so buried in these little tiny nuances are these lawsuits and that's what the attorneys are fighting for that they violated SEC guidelines they violated finra policy. so the company's update their policies and procedures you agree because you're doing business with them and you move forward. if you do a search for Goldman Sachs lawsuits or Morgan Stanley or JP Morgan or Bank of America they're all over the place. it's the cost of doing business on a large scale.

10baggerbamm OP WaListreet : I took a position two weeks ago in Robinhood when it was getting absolutely butchered. I look at Robin Hood as a casino and The House always wins as the saying goes. within casinos you have some that are good some are better some that are best and I think Robin Hood falls in the best category when it comes to understanding the needs of the younger generation of investors I think they are way ahead of the curve compared to Goldman Sachs Morgan Stanley JP Morgan Bank of America. I don't hear too many people saying I want to open an account at Morgan Stanley and trade stocks or I want to open an account at Goldman Sachs and trade stocks. typically it's very very large monies that are at these firms and they covet those accounts and I'm not talking about million dollar I'm talking about big big old money that's sitting at these firms. the stodgy image of your board of directors wearing their three-piece suit smoking their cigars that's still exists and these large firms they're very politically driven.. if you listened to president Trump when he was speaking on a camera screen being projected to the davos participants. he talked about how Bank of America participated in D banking the CEO Brian moynihan, he had to shut up and listen to president Trump tell him you are guilty of debanking you and other large Banks participated in this practice. debanking so that everybody understands let's suppose you were in the pot business they don't want you let's suppose you were in any business that was involved with second amendment sales they didn't want you they closed your accounts you got a notice transfer your account. if you were a company or a wealthy individual that was backing the Republican party president Trump and you are very vocal they didn't want you.  where I'm going with this is the CEO of Robin Hood Vlad is very much a tune to the younger generation they know what they want with regard to trading lending borrowing, it's very easy for a smaller company that's not run by a board of directors but by a major shareholder to very quickly adapt to the needs of its customer base and anticipate what they want in order to keep the monies at that firm and to gather more money going forward. alternatively SoFi, is another financial services company that's way ahead of the curve and these old Banks and old trading firms they're scared to death as to the speed of growth that these new financial institutions are offering the level of services the fact that they are moving much quicker than Goldman Morgan JP Morgan Bank of America let alone regional Banks and credit unions. so you can be sure that these firms they collude together they're going to short stocks they're going to downgrade because they are all at risk of losing business to Robinhood and they are losing business and the proof is Robinhood had a rate of growth for million Dollar Plus size counts quicker than ever before in the company history. you need to understand and I'll leverage ETF you have to be willing to take the pain you cannot put a 5% stop or you could get picked off in a day you need to buy a third of a position if you do fall a couple of bucks you buy a little more and you can buy it either by hitting the buy button or as I do I sell puts below the market I collect the premium at a price that in my mind is a safe entry point to average down and I'll accept that stock being put to me on that expiration day if it's in the money.
I don't have a problem owning Robin Hood I don't have a problem owning sofi, I think there's a lot of money to be made in these companies and I look at it risk reward the big firms downgrade and I'm going to buy on that because the company exceeded earnings revenue and guidance they are downgrading strictly because of tactful collusion because of vengeance because they're losing customers.. so I'm going to buy and take advantage of those opportunities because this is a great company that's going to continue to outpace the market

10baggerbamm OP : I bought a little bit of the leverage ETF this morning.
I will be the first to tell you the chart looks pretty bad Robinhood obviously is a high beta stock and The leverage ETF is 2X times that high beta so it's very very volatile.
I think the market is going to be lousy today probably lousy tomorrow and I might be sitting at a 50 cent or one point deficit between now and then especially in the leveraged ETF.. however
I think once this news starts to be digested in the market from the analysts that are bullish I think it's going to be very well received.
Robin Hood is doing everything the big banks are not they are so far ahead of the curve they are so far ahead and offering products that the new generation are seeking they want to be able to trade equities they want to be able to trade ETFs they want to be able to buy crypto they want a debit card they want a credit card they want to deal with the company that understands the 20-year-old the successful 30-year-old not the 70-year-old corporate snob who deals with Bank of America.
I think Robin Hood has an amazing future the CEO is one of the best and brightest in the industry he's not a Jamie Diamond because he does not have the seat time, he doesn't have the experience but I think in time he will surpass Jamie Diamond when people talk about the evolution of the banking industry and how Vlad took on the 800 lb gorillas and won

10baggerbamm : ETFs that are leveraged they can trade at a discount they can trade it par or they can trade it a premium to the underlying stock.. so without me diving into this and plotting one against the other I would say have they paid any distribution recently some of these pay dividends that could be the reason for it if it was just done yesterday as an example or can just be lagging behind..
if you look at the ETF you should be able to see if it's trading at a discount or premium to net asset value based off of the volume in this ETF if there's a lot of selling it can trade it at discount to the common stock or could trade it a premium to the common stock and I've watched that on The leverage ETFs that I've owned you compare them to the common stock and they lag behind and then they snap right up the next day or after hours

modest Narwhal_1005 OP 10baggerbamm : so hood went up 6.38% yesterday and robn went up 17.22% yesterday. the amount missing is roughly the amount that was gained more yesterday.

10baggerbamm modest Narwhal_1005 OP : I didn't look at the range of yesterday's movement but yes that's correct you can have almost like a slingshot approach where one day at lags and the next day it plays catch up..
there's times if you plot a leveraged ETF against the common where the common stock moves several points and The leverage ETF does not move because there's a big seller in the way and a minute they get cleared out it immediately jumps up so if you can Time stuff to that level and you're sitting there box watching and charting a leverage ETF against the underlying stock you're going to find times that you can arbitrage it and make 50 cents $1.0 literally instantly and that's what you observed of why you had a difference between the two yesterday versus today one played catch up to the other
