FOMC meeting week

Investors will be focused on the Federal Reserve this week, with the central bank scheduled to announce its third interest rate decision of the year on Wednesday (7 May)
Market expects the federal funds rate / interest rate to be retained at current level.
The Fed has previously said that they are happy to take no action while considering further economic data.

Market Overview
- The $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ and $NASDAQ 100 Index (.NDX.US)$ continued to rise this week, gaining 2.9% and 3.4% respectively, despite the release of negative first quarter 2025 GDP data (-0.3%), the first contraction since early 2022.
- The market initially plummeted upon the release of the GDP data but quickly recovered and continued to surge afterward. The decline...
