yup, not cutting rates for this time round has been priced in. but the market is a forward looking machine. it reacts to future possible scenarios. so Powell’s speech on the future interest rate trajectory will be the one that moves the market

I think PE is only a basis for investing. Tech companies have high pe ratios in anticipation for future growth. You can easily manipulate P/E ratios by doing stock buybacks/decreasing the amount of available shares. Low PE ratio either means undervalued or low growth or future headwinds that haven’t been priced in based on current Pe ratio.

I understand what you mean, but if anyone has been in the market game long enough, he should realise that evaluating a stock using P/E is basically useless. ppl use P/E to determine "overvalued" or "undervalued", is also meaningless, just like Tesla as a meme stock, it is like Mona Lisa, who can say what is its value, especially when fans don't see value from financials.

I agree. But Tesla is a different ball game. It’s essentially a bet on Elon Musk’s persona and potential. Tesla as a company is meh, but the only reason why the stock is still trading like a mene stock that differentiates from it’s pe is in anticipation of future growth like humanoid robots and robotaxis. But at the end of the day it comes down to if it can actually make money. If the company can’t prove to increase it’s revenue or stays stagnant, then you’re left holding the bag. Again I think the mag7s are wonderful investments, but I want to enter in at a price I am comfortable with that matches with my risk tolerance. If it means i miss on gains, that’s okay. I have exposure through spy anyways. Buy when others panic and sell when others are greedy. I take advantage of downturns to buy, and take advantage of uptrends to take profits off the table. Don’t buy blindly, unless you’re willing to accept the downturns or the bad times. Tesla, Meta and Google are facing some headwinds rn, and you are hoping that it’ll come out stronger and better. Which I think it will, but i think there’s more room for the downside before we retest for a ATH. That’s just my personal opinion. I don’t have acess to a whole bunch of capital so I’m just going to hold and wait rather than buy when there’s still uncertainty.

Could see some volatility as a result of increased tariffs or opec increasing production which could potentially bankrupt or put oil drilling companies in the US out of business. mid 50s or 60 is kind of the break even point for them. Japan might dump bonds too. Risky situation to navigate. Fed decision will be the one to pay attention to. No interest rate cut means a big drop in stocks likely.

Well usually big money is right in the long term. Short term you’ll probably be right that it’ll go up. But it won’t retest for a ATH, so the upside is a bit limited here. That’s just my opinion. I’ll be skeptical bullish or cautiously bearish until spy holds the trend for the next 2 weeks.
