Share your thoughts . Are you seeing a potential Call/Buy within the next 4 weeks?
TinkerB3ll : BTC at resistance i probably think markwt might dip vix shall be volatile soon
fengsheng8 : Please share your thoughts girl. How far will this stock go this week?
Nidia_Girl OP TWIMO (151403908) : yes , the P/E ratio for the overall market is trading at 28 , less then a month ago it was at around 19 ... Bonds are sitting on a dangerous % currently also !
Nidia_Girl OP TinkerB3ll : yes look at the bond market also
Steadyla : How would you tell that UVIX will go up as the uptrend of S&P is so strong as if it will not go down. What is the recommended price level to exit UVIX if we get in now? Thanks
10baggerbamm OP Steadyla : I've been in it since it was in the '90s. I purchased $50,000 worth of puts back early April 8... I closed out some last week, I closed out a little yesterday, I still have some left.. right now it's pretty much normalized if you look at vix it's back to a normal level so I don't know how much more of a decline it could have but not much more than two or three points. the market is on fire right now everything is positive, between what happened with China and now what's going on with President Trump meeting with Saudi who are investing $600 billion and he has two more Nations to meet with so everything is positive news.. CPI came out that was not an issue this morning so the anxiety the problems with the market have abated in the short term.. I would not be looking to open up a position here.. like I said I think there's a few more points best case scenario to the downside but the move that I was looking for it played out 100% perfectly
BahBah Moo : at what $ would be safe to enter? I’m new to this one
Steadyla 10baggerbamm OP : Vetaran trader! must be laughing to the bank with the puts. :) For cases like this, usually how many weeks or mths is the best pick to balance the decay vs the premium payable? do u enter single leg or vertical spread?

:
when you're buying calls or buying puts it only takes one time to understand that you may be right about the movement of that stock or the index but you don't have enough time so you lose your investment it goes to zero.
with this trade I staggered my months and my strike prices but that being said I was looking for a full reversion I wanted to see it go back to where it started I believe that's what was going to happen.
so I staggered my months and my strike prices they were $40 $45 $50 and went out to June. I tried to buy at the bid I didn't get filled I tried to buy in the spread I couldn't get filled and I posted that I like a sale l, I like a bargain but I need to get these positions filled so I had to pay retail prices which piss me off to no end.. because I like buying things in the spread or on the bid but here there was a sense of urgency and I wanted to have my positions filled.
once the market began to recover I knew it was a win I just needed to relax and not be short-sighted and cash out too early.
I'm out of all of my positions this week I closed out my last leg.
the decay is not noticeable I couldn't calculate it I'm sure there's a grad student using AI that could figure out how much time value ticked away relative to the bid price of my contracts. the volatility premium that I received cuz the market was cratering every day is what you're buying that's where you're really making your money is when that market recovers and the vix begins to decline that volatility premium evaporates from those options dramatically especially on the put side. again I can't calculate it but I just knew that the max pain was right there. I missed it by like a day but so what they don't ring the bell at the top of the bottom I came close enough for a grand slam home run.
151646846 : at what price?
fengsheng8 OP 151646846 : 30
102137116 fengsheng8 OP : I m also at $30

ASteffie : Puts?
10baggerbamm OP ASteffie : I've had them from when this peaked... I bought the puts April 8th.. I had 35 strike 40 strike and 45 strike. it was pre-market higher that day it traded as high as 91 and change I think and then in a few days afterwards it went up to 102 maybe 105 something like that.. but I posted and you can go back and look that this was a top trade idea.. I called in I think it was when the wheels fall off the train that the volatility index was so high there's no way it can stay up here it's not long Viagra.. I had $50,000 worth of puts
投机的阿妍 10baggerbamm OP : amazing
10baggerbamm OP 投机的阿妍 : is all posted I put the story out over the weekend before the market opened and I told everybody this is a top trade and I told everybody I was staggering my options my strike prices and the months of expirations because you have to give it enough time for the vix to return to a normalized level.
ChartSnifeR : Well US China deal is extended not signed, I believe it's a temporary pump.
102137116 : will u buy uvix at $28
103430477 : Sister, did you buy it? My price is 30.87, which is a bit high.
72697118 : Goodbye
Nidia_Girl OP ChartSnifeR : I'm thinking big drops , followed by bigs pops
