Trump: IBM and Raytheon may win the contract for the modernization of the USA air traffic control system.
On Wednesday, President Trump stated that Raytheon Technology and IBM may receive contracts for modernizing the U.S. air traffic control system. Trump said during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, "Our air traffic control equipment is very outdated," adding that there are five companies capable of completing this work. "We want to introduce a completely new air traffic control system." IBM declined to comment, and Raytheon did not immediately respond. On January 29, a U.S. Army helicopter and an American Airlines jet collided in the air near Washington Reagan National Airport, leading to the deaths of all 67 people on board.
