Removal of PDT Flag

You may qualify for a one-time removal of the PDT flag from your account after attesting that you understand the definition of pattern day trading and will not engage in future day trading. This can be done 1-2 business days after the flag is added to your account.

To get the removal started, open the app and follow these steps: Click "Accounts" -> Day Trading -> Click "Yes" next to Marked as PDT -> Click the "Request to Remove PDT Status".

Once the PDT flag has been removed, you will be allowed three-day trades in a rolling five-day period. Keep in mind, removing the PDT flag does not necessarily restore you to three-day trades. Please utilize the Day Trading Counter highlighted in the photo above to track your day trades remaining.  

If your account is re-flagged, we will not be able to remove the PDT flag, barring extraordinary circumstances. While the account is flagged, you will also be unable to open new positions. You have two options if this occurs:

● Deposit funds in the account to bring equity up to $25,000 (SEC minimum for pattern day traders)

● Wait the required 90-calendar days before the PDT flag falls off the account

Note: The 90-calendar day period starts on the day of your latest day trade.
