Cost Basis Changes After Transfer

When you transfer securities to Moomoo Financial, you can choose whether to fill in the cost basis. If the cost basis is not filled out, the closing price on the previous trading day before the securities are deposited into your Moomoo account will be used as the cost basis. If you fill in the cost basis, the number you input will be listed as your cost basis.

Keep In Mind:

Your profit or loss will not be affected by the cost basis of your positions listed in the app and your actual cost basis will be shown in your tax documents.
