Open a Brokerage Account
To open a brokerage account, go to the Accounts tab and tap the Open Now button. The steps may vary based on your tax status and the ID document used.

US tax residents
Select United States as your country of tax residence.
Fill in your personal, tax, and address information.
Choose the type of account you'd like to open.
Select the trading permissions you wish to activate.
If you select Options in the trading permissions step, you will then proceed to choose your Requested Options Level.
Provide your employment status and financial information.
Confirm your tax information.
Read the risk disclosure carefully and tap Submit.
You will receive a notification once your account is ready.
Non-US tax residents using a passport
Select Other as your country of tax residence.
Fill in your personal information and tap Next.
Upload your passport information.
Fill in your tax and address information.
Choose the type of account you'd like to open.
Select the trading permissions you wish to activate.
If you select Options in the trading permissions step, you will then proceed to choose your Requested Options Level.
Provide your employment status and financial information.
Confirm your tax information.
Read the risk disclosure carefully and tap Submit.
You will receive a notification once your account is ready.
Taiwanese residents using an ID Card
Select Other as your country of tax residence.
Select Taiwan in the ID Issuance Country/Region field, fill in the rest of your personal information, and tap Next.
Upload your ID card information.
Fill in your tax and address information.
Choose the type of account you'd like to open.
Select the trading permissions you wish to activate.
If you select Options in the trading permissions step, you will then proceed to choose your Requested Options Level.
Provide your employment status and financial information.
Confirm your tax information.
Read the risk disclosure carefully and tap Submit.
You will receive a notification once your account is ready.
